This is possibly one of the hardest questions because human emotions come into play.
To achieve the answer we need to ask ourselves what we want to achieve. These could be multiple or single goals.
Goals don’t need to complex; it could be reducing or eliminating debt or to save for a deposit on a house. It could be more complex such as drawing up a retirement plan, or providing income in retirement.
Once we know what are goals are we need to ask whether they are realistic and rational.
This is often about asking questions.
So for example if we want £50,000 for a deposit on a house in two years – is this realistic? Can it be achieved?
